Автор рассматривает различные подходы и затруднения при определении предмета современной регионалистики (регионоведения) и региональной экономики, пространственно обосновывает современную Центральную Азию как единый макрорегион.

The author discusses the characteristics and difficulties in defining the subject of modern Regional Science (Regionalistics) and the Regional Economy, and justifies the space of contemporary Central Asia as a single macro-region.
